A stylish SUV offering a potent blend of luxury and capability, the Lexus GX pursues evolution and refinement as part of the Lexus series by maximizing the powerful and dynamic impression of this impressive seven-seater.
The design has both evolved and refined to incorporate the latest Lexus design cues. The front grille pattern has been changed to a block pattern with an L-shape motif, emphasizing the design unity of the Lexus SUV line-up. The resulting three-dimensional block pattern constantly changes its expression according to the viewing angle, evolving into a design befitting the GX. Satin plating has been applied to the spindle grille frame, pursuing a sense of continuity with other Lexus SUV models.
Inside, the whole design aesthetic has evolved to create a modern impression on the luxurious interior inherited from its predecessor. Incorporating elements of Takumi craftsmanship, the dashboard, centre cluster and interior features have been updated according to ergonomic principles, with soft padded elements and metallic chrome elements adding to the luxury experience.
With three rows of seating, the GX provides a first-class experience in which drivers can enjoy the comfort of an ergonomic steering wheel crafted to fit the contours of their hands wherever they’re placed. A new Dark Rose interior colour scheme adds an elegant touch to the range of choice in this latest generation GX.
A full-size SUV combining exceptional luxury with advanced technologies and outstanding off-road capability, the Lexus GX benefits from the instant and impressive power delivery of the 4.6L V8 engine, the only naturally-aspirated V8 in its class, which boasts Variable Valve Timing with intelligence to improve low-speed torque and high-speed horsepower.
In addition to the only body-on-frame construction in its class, the GX confidently tackles multiple terrains with features like Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select and more. When driving down steep inclines, Downhill Assist Control automatically controls braking on all four wheels, helping to negotiate slippery descents safely.
Giving the driver full awareness and control over the state of the vehicle, the touch display has been enlarged to 10.3 inches, and moved upward, providing excellent operability and visibility while driving. In addition, a high-tech touch-pad type Remote Touch Interface has been added to the console, enabling remote operation of the vehicles infotainment system within easy reach.
Fully connected, the Lexus GX features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, displayed on the car’s 12.3-inch infotainment display.
